Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

Dream Diagnostics LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Dream”, “we”), provides a vehicle diagnostics service: the web app at dreamdiag.com, the Dream Diag iOS app, and the desktop tools. This policy says what we collect, why, where it is kept, and how you delete it. We collect what the product needs to work and nothing for advertising. We do not sell personal data and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

What we collect

Your account. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive the name, email address and profile picture that provider shares. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email address; the relay address Apple gives us works the same way. We use this to create your account, show your name in the app and keep your cars with you across devices.

Your vehicles. The VIN of each car you connect, what it decodes to (make, model, engine, options), the fault codes and module results of each scan, when each scan was taken, the live-data channels the app plans for the car, service routines you run, and dyno runs you save. This is the product: it is how your cars, their history and their results are there the next time you open the app or the desktop workspace.

Your device and how the app is used. A random install identifier (not your advertising identifier), device model, operating system version, app version, locale and time zone, which screens you open, and events such as connecting to an adapter, starting a scan or clearing faults, including the adapter’s name and serial number and whether the step succeeded. When something fails, an error report with the message and the step that failed. We use this to find and fix problems and to see which parts of the product are used.

Support messages. What you write to us through the Support screen, together with the app version and the car it concerns, so we can answer.

Server logs. Our servers keep ordinary request logs (the route called, when, the result, your account id, your IP address) as an operational and security record.

What we do not collect. No precise location, no contacts, no photos, no advertising identifier, no data from other apps. Live-data recordings you make in the app are written as CSV files in the app’s Documents folder on your phone and stay there unless you share them yourself.

How the data is used

  • To run the service: sign you in, decode your cars, record and show scan results, plan live data, run service routines, and keep this history across your devices.
  • To keep the service reliable and secure: diagnose failures, understand usage, and detect abuse.
  • To answer you when you contact support.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build profiles for third parties, and we do not sell or rent it.

Who else sees it

  • Sign-in providers. Google or Apple, when you sign in with them, under their own privacy policies.
  • Hosting. Our servers and database run on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Data you send to dreamdiag.com is stored there.
  • Vehicle data sources. To decode a VIN or look up a fault, we query vehicle databases we host and, for some makes, public databases such as the NHTSA vPIC service. Only the VIN or code is sent, never your account.
  • Legal. If the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users.

We do not share personal data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Your account, your vehicles and their history are kept for as long as your account exists. Operational logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging and are then removed on their normal rotation.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the iOS app: Home › Delete account, at the bottom of the Home screen. Deleting removes your account, your cars, their scan history, your support messages and your saved dyno runs from our servers straight away. Operational logs that referenced your account are anonymised at the same time. Recordings you saved on your phone are not touched; delete them from the Files app if you no longer want them.

You can also ask us to delete your account or to send you a copy of your data by writing to support@dreamdiag.com from the email address on the account.

Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS). Sessions are held in a secure, HTTP-only cookie. Access to the production database is restricted to the operators of the service.

Children

Dream Diagnostics is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. A material change is announced in the app before it takes effect.
