Terms of Service

Dream Diagnostics reads and interprets data from your vehicle through an OBD adapter or a vehicle Ethernet connection: identity, fault codes, live data, service routines and, on the desktop, calibration tools. It is a diagnostic aid. It does not replace the vehicle manufacturer’s documentation, a qualified technician, or your own judgement.

You need an account to use the Service, created by signing in with Google or Apple. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Home › Delete account). See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and how to remove it.

You are in charge of the vehicle. Clearing fault codes, running service routines, adaptations, resets and any calibration change act on the vehicle’s control units. Do this only on a vehicle you own or are authorised to work on, with the vehicle safely parked, following the manufacturer’s procedures, and with a stable power supply where the routine calls for one. Some functions are not legal for road use in every jurisdiction; it is your responsibility to know which apply to you.

Results can be wrong or incomplete. A control unit may not answer, an adapter may drop out, a fault description may not fit your exact vehicle, and a scan that reads no modules is not a clean bill of health. Confirm anything that matters before acting on it.

No warranty on the vehicle. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dream Diagnostics is not liable for damage to a vehicle, its control units, its warranty or its registration status arising from use of the Service.

What you buy. Fault scanning and clearing, fault descriptions and basic live data are free. Dream Pro, the Europe, USA and Asia packages, the All regions and Shop packs, Dream Tune and map packs are licenses sold only at dreamdiag.com (see Pricing). They are not sold inside the iOS app.

Locked to a car. Each license covers a set number of cars. A car is locked to a license the first time you activate it while connected to that car; from then on the license works on that car only. A regional package only covers cars whose make belongs to that region. Dream Tune is also locked to the car’s engine control unit. A license belongs to your account and may not be resold or shared.

Transfers. A locked car can be moved to another car once, on request to support, by the original buyer. For Dream Tune the original car must be returned to its stock calibration first.

Refunds. A license that has not been activated on any car can be refunded in full on request within 30 days. After activation, a refund is given only when the car turns out not to be supported by what you bought. A refunded or charged-back license stops working on every car it was locked to.

Tunes. Dream Tune and map packs change your engine’s calibration. They are intended for competition and closed-course use only, may void parts of the vehicle’s warranty, and may not be legal for road use where you live. Restoring the car’s stock calibration is always free. We do not sell products that delete or disable emissions equipment.

Prices and taxes. Prices are shown at checkout and charged in US dollars by our payment processor, Stripe. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout.

• Do not use the Service on a vehicle you are not authorised to work on.
• Do not attempt to break into, overload or reverse-engineer the Service or its servers.
• Do not resell access to the Service or scrape its vehicle databases.
• Do not use the Service to defeat emissions controls or safety systems where that is unlawful.

Vehicle data, recordings and support messages you submit remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. The Service, its software, its vehicle databases and their arrangement are ours or our licensors’ and are protected by copyright and other laws.

The Service may change, pause or end at any time, including individual features and the support for particular vehicles or adapters. We aim to give notice of material changes in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Where the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are not affected.
